Dermamelan Depigmentation Treatment
Do you have pigmentation concerns and dark spots? Using generic skincare treatments may not be working for you, which is why we offer the Dermamelan De-pigmentation treatment.
What is Dermamelan?
Dermamelan is a medical depigmentation method of proven efficacy for the treatment of the most severe, resistant skin hyperpigmentation. Its dual action allows to correct visible hyperpigmentation and regulate melanin overproduction, to provide a short and long term result.
Dermamelan is effective for the following skin conditions:
- Melasma / Chloasma
- Pigmented lesions
- Irregular skin texture
- Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)
- Ephelides (freckles)
- Solar lentigo (sun exposure)
- Senile lentigo (age spots, liver spots)
- Post acne
How dermamelan Works
Dermamelan peels work to intensively correct hyperpigmentation while reducing melanin production. You’ll immediately notice clearer skin after the peel. Your skin will remain clear as the at-home care inhibits the ongoing production of melanin.
This treatment is a 3-step process, of which the first is carried out in the clinic for approximately an hour. This is to apply the the Dermamelan mask to the face, which is then left on for 8-12 hours according to your Fitzpatrick skin type to be treated. The Dermamelan mask will slowly absorb into the skin. After this time, the mask is simply rinsed off at home with warm water.
Over the healing and maintenance course, you will experience skin peeling and redness which is normal. 48 hours after the peel has been removed, maintenance phase 2 at home begins with the application of the Dermamelan maintenance cream. Phase 2 at-home treatment, which requires daily application of Hydracream fusion, Hydratonic mist, Dermamelan, Hydra-vital Factor K-Cream and Moisturising SPF50+. This phase is carried out for approximately 3 to 5 months to achieve an optimal result and prevent the reappearance of pigmentation. During this phase, you shall have scheduled follow-up appointments with the clinic. You will start seeing further improvements during the following months of your maintenance phases.
